Russ Pokett was one of my favorite uncles. He clearly loved his wife and family and always demonstrated it.

We spent time each summer visiting the Pokett family. Uncle Russ always seemed to have a joke up his sleeve, an infinite supply of puns, and a twinkle in his eye. He routinely performed "stubble checks" and one dare not fail!

In recent years, my family and I became the proud recipients of beautiful handcrafted baskets and adorable toy ducks.

Sorry for your lost Chris,Brian,Cindy and Robin. Are prayer's are with you guys.

Russ was a very special guy in my life. He became my brother-in- law when I was fifteen and was everything you could ask for in a brother.

He was so happy to be home and away from war and so in love with Betty, he did all sorts of crazy things to impress her, like jumping over parking meters and stopping at a traffic lights and not moving until she kissed him.

Russ and my Mom shared the same Sept. 10th birthday. He declared he didn't like cake mixes and only wanted the...

I only knew Russ POkett in the last decade of his life. I wish I had known him longer. His quirky sense of humor, his way with words and puns, and his smile will all be what I remember most of him. I still have his wood basket and his "quarter punder" made with a quarter. Rest in peace.

Thank you Dad,for the many hours,of working side by side, with you in the garage. You gave me the mechanical exeperience,I needed to get me to where I am today.
You taught me how to do something with nothing, like fixing the car, with a bobby pin and a twig.

Thank you Dad for all the memories, nature walks at the dunes, the exploding pancake batter, and countless trips in the station wagon, full of us kids.

Thank you Dad,for all...

This man was a father to me, he treated me as one of his own. I feel so blessed to have had him in my life for the past 39 years. As much as I will miss him, I am glad that he has found the much deserved peace he was looking for, and has now been greeted in heaven by his wife Betty, and his son Rusty. Words cannot express how much I loved this man.

Dear Sandra
Sorry to hear about your Dad. I know he will be truly missed. May God bless you all.

I am honored to have known Russ over the last several years. I only wish I had known him longer.
His sense of humor even during trying times will remain with me forever.
A good man who will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.Rest in peace , my friend.
