Being the first born in our family, I've always felt a responsibility and concern for my younger siblings, Rusty and Lisa. Those feelings may well have been instilled in me by my mother when she asked a then two-and-a-half year old me to name my new baby brother. “Make Room for Daddy” was my favorite sitcom at the time. The middle child in the sitcom's family was a boy named Rusty. To a toddler, I guess that was reason enough to name her new brother Rusty.
