Dear Ruth. She will continue to be an inspiration to me, as her presence is still with us in the Meetinghouse everyday. I see her running up the stairs to the RE office, bending over the flower garden on a 99 degree day - pulling weeds, introducing the new babies at meeting every Christmas. Ruth always knew everybody, and took a lively interest in the young families of the meeting. Her memory was phenomenal, her knowledge deep, her caring deeper. I first met Ruth in 1991 when I started attending Wellesley Friends Meeting. At 94 she was such an active member of the meeting. She knew everyone. I had the pleasure or serving on the Nominating Committee when she was Clerk. She became a good friend and was a wonderful role model for all of us. I'm so glad that I was able to take photos at her 104 birthday celebration. I'll miss her very much.
