            Ruth E. Jacobs, 94, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021, at her home with her family by her side.

            She was born in Henderson, Kentucky, on October 31, 1926, to the late Bethel and Lorene Oglesby Polley.  She enjoyed golfing, the river, reading, and spending time with her family.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Jacobs; one son, Richard “Rick” Liggett; one grandson, Kevin Gentry; and one stepson, Jimmy Jacobs.

            Survivors include two children, Kenny “Rock” Liggett and his wife, Nancy, and Susie Davis, both of Henderson, Kentucky; her daughter-in-law, Patsy Liggett of Henderson, Kentucky; one stepson, Danny Jacobs and his wife, Janie, of Lexington, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Kendra Liggett, Jessica Duncan and her husband, Chris, Wayne Liggett and his wife, Brandi, Casey Davis, Tamra Jacobs and her husband, Mark, and Rick Liggett, II, and his wife, Jennifer; 13 great-grandchildren, Aubri Klutey, Sierra Duncan, Gavin Duncan, Molli Liggett, Abbi Liggett, Naomi Liggett, Bentley Liggett, Jake Liggett, Kelsey Patmore and her husband, Alex, Ella Davis, Isaac Davis, Logan Jacobs, and Landon Jacobs; two great-great-grandchildren, J’Leigh Klutey and Maddie Patmore; and nieces and nephews.

            Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  Dr. Tim Hobbs will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.

            Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

            Contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice.

            Pallbearers will be Wayne Liggett, Casey Davis, Rick Liggett, II, Chris Duncan, Gavin Duncan, and Isaac Davis.
