Bob I am so sorry to learn of Ruth's passing. I just happened to check the obits and her name was the first I saw. She was a lovely person in so many ways and you were lucky to have her for all those years. My thoughts are with you.

Mrs. McKenzie was an extremely bright and helpful lady. She subsitute taught for several classes I took during my years in Decatur. My prayers are with the family.

I will always have special memories of Miss Ruth. I first got to meet and work with her at the clinic. She was quite the character and I had great respect for her. One of my fondest memories centered around seeing her loving husband, Bob bring their lunch up to the clinic on whatever days she was able to volunteer. I met and liked Ruth before I met any other of the McKenzies. She was intelligent, feisty, and full of fun - a great lady.
She'll be sorely missed.

I'm so sorry to learn of your loss. Will be thinking of you during these difficult days. I remember when she baked the cake for the driver ed teacher.
