Not sure what to say?

i always remember Ruth when I am cutting potatoes from her commentary on the health benefits or (not) of potato skins. She is missed.

My most sincere condolences to the Page family.

I first met Ruth in the Flynn School library in Burlington, where she volunteered for many years.

I will always remember her segment on VPR on Aging. She said " it sometimes takes me longer to remember someone's name. It is not that I am getting forgetful, it's just that my Rolodex is bigger."

Thank you Ruth for touching the lives of the hundreds of students you read to at the Flynn School over the years.

Ruth's radio broadcast advice on how to choose a Christmas tree is how I remember her, down to earth and spirited and amusing. Rest In Peace, Ruth, and PLEASE watch over us and this earth in its oh so fragile state fighting to survive right now.

Just an amazing and remarkable woman. She was a board member and board chair at the Champlain Valley Agency on Aging (now AgeWell) and a constant source of wisdom and guidance. Could not attend the service because of a prior commitment to knock on doors and encourage voting by residents of Old North End. I could imagine Ruth saying, "oh, that is much more important." I will miss her. (I) can also imagine her reading this and asking why does one ever write a sentence without a subject or a verb.

I am sorry to hear of Miss Page's passing. I still remember the delight I felt whenever I heard her voice on the radio. We shared the passion of the garden and the natural world and she never failed to teach me something new through her voice and writings. What a rich treasure we had for so long! I am sorry for the loss of this vibrant, engaged woman.

I wanted to take the time to express my condolences to the family and many friends of Ruth. I met her many years ago, and she was a very loving and caring person. I loved her down to earth personality and her spunk to fight the battles of her causes. She was never afraid to express her opinion. She was a wonderful role model and touched many lives. Again, my deepest sympathy to all of the family and friends.

Sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. May the memories that you have bring joy to your heart. Truly a remarkable lady.
Sincerely,
Donna and Rob Frandsen

Candy, Ham, Sarah and family - I am sorry to hear of your mom's/grandmom's passing. I remember her from when I worked at the Freeps and found her to be a friendly, loving and generous woman. She has at least two strong women to carry on in her footsteps. Prayers are going up, blessings will flow down. Love to all.
