Ruth Shanly

I met Ruth in 1987 when we built our home next to hers. I remember how she left fresh flowers hanging on my front door that first May Day 1988. Ruth was very thoughtful and particularly fond of children. She invited my two to VBS faithfully. Ruth was unique in many ways.I felt admiration and respect as well as fondness for her.My sadness at her passing is only lifted by the knowledge that she is finally with the Savior Whom she served wholeheartedly.God bless you, Ruth!

Ruth Shanly was a friend and neighbor and had a special way about her and always gave her opinion. She loved to tell stories about her family and about the history of the neighborhood.She loved her family home and especially her cat named bunny.

Ruth was my cousin and she will be (and is) greatly missed. She stood for righteousness and expected the same from us - that is only one of the things that made her so very special. She accepted the Lord's forgiveness at a young age and was a wonderful mentor.
