Not sure what to say?

I met Sam at Serenity and he touched my soul from go. He was the kindest, warmest, most thoughtful, intelligent soul and truly unlike anyone I've ever known. We fast became friends and I'm so glad i gave you that long second hug before we said goodbye on July 12th, Sam. I may have only known him a short while, but he had a profound impact on me, and I vow to live and be my best self for him and for me. The world needs more Sams'. I love you my friend and I wish you peace, love, and...

To Sam’s family, my deepest condolences on your loss. Sam was a wonderful man, with a curious intellect and true passion for life.

Rugby & sports, philosophy, kung fu, yoga, making music. He was like this modern renaissance man, with a unique set of passions, bringing together east and west.

We both loved meeting new people, but Sam was on a different...

Group of 10 Memorial Trees

I knew Sam during our time at University of Toronto (he was my partner's friend as well as roommate for several years). Sam was such a bright light, full of energy, curiosity, and passion for life. One of my favourite memories of Sam is when we went out with a group to eat at a Szechuan restaurant in Chinatown; he ordered our entire meal in Chinese, much to the amusement of our server! Sam's warmth and openness brought people together and made you feel as if you had been his friend for years....

Sam touched so many lives including those of the entire Bourque family. We have so many memories, meeting Sam in Toronto bar hoping, being silly, singing while we walk, sharing stories, and meeting all his amazing friends. Gathering at the Bourque family for silly games and great food, family time with the Marshman family and even extending that family to some of Sam's friends. We will always remember the great times with such an amazing soul. May you rest in peace Sam

I left your damp towel on the porch like normal to dry after sailing when you would stop by. Miss you bunches. Hugs and kisses. Love to Mom and Dad and your brothers. Dianne and Fred and the kids.
