So sorry to hear of your loss. Sam was a great man. He once went up in a J 3 Cub with me on a check flight. I looked over my shoulder and said "If you see anything I need to work on just let me know." Sam responded with "I have a notebook full for when we get on the ground." He was a wonderful man and a gift to the aeronautical community. May peace be with you.

Kathy and I want to let you know haw saddened we are at news of Sam's death. Not only was he a great friend, but a great advisor on aviation matters. He was a true professional and an accomplished pilot. He was the best. I always appreciated what Sam did for Aviation and in particular our Texas Soaring Association.
