These prayers and little notes mean so much to the family no matter when they come in.

Campie's Aunt Vivian in Virginia

I just found out my heart is broken June 26
I was looking on your Facebook at pictures and read all the good bye Sam you will be missed how truly sorry I am I didn't get to be at the funeral
he was a very specially friend I called chief smiley
I will miss you so
My prayers are with you Sonya and his family

Campie was my cousin and I remember thinking he was so cool when I was a little girl and he towered over me. He was always smiling and friendly and treated me like a little princess. I hadn't seen him in years but we kept up on Facebook and he always had nice things to say about my little girl. I wish he'd had a chance to meet her. I am so glad he had found true love but wish he and Sonya had had more time together. I'll miss you, Campie!!

Campie was a childhood friend of mime, along with Kim and Keith. We had some great times growing up. We were in the military at the same time. I was in the Azores years ago, late 70's early 80's, and while walking down a street on base I hear someone calling my name. I look up in a barracks window and there is Campie! Two kids from Louisa one Navy, one Air Force, meeting on an island in the middle of the Atlantic, surreal! It was great to get caught up. Although we didn't keep in touch over...

I didn't know Sam very well, as a matter of fact, I really didn't know him, other than meeting him on 2-3 occasions at the Avionic's Shop. Having said that, I do remember his friendly attitude and Bigger than Life Smile. May you find peace and happiness beside our Father, Christ The Lord. Rest in Peace Brother.

I remember Campie as a vivacious two-year-old who adored his grandfather. I'm glad to have read his endearing posts on Facebook. He was obviously much-loved by so many and was an especially caring person. I will miss seeing his posts. My condolences to all those who held him dear.

You have gone much too soon but you have left all who knew you with wonderful, happy memories as a gift of the kind and generous peron you were.

I wasn't able to attend the funeral today, but have been thinking about Campie all morning. I'm so sad and sorry that he is no longer physically on this earth sharing joy and friendship. That trademark smile and his friendship will be greatly missed.
