Sandra S. Allen, 76, of Lake Placid, FL, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017. She was born to the late Herbert L. and Lois (Knight) McCranie in Vero Beach FL on December 4, 1940. Having been a resident of Highlands County for over 40 years, Sandy and her husband owned and operated an auto parts store in Lake Placid. Her hobbies were dancing, darts, fishing, cruises, gardening and clogging to name a few. She volunteered to help feed the needy, was a member of the Moose Lodge and The Elks and was a teacher for special education for children and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Lake Placid. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Mark Allen-FL; daughter, Beth Ann Lang-FL, grandchildren; Dustin (Taryn) Lang-FL and Cody (Megan) Lang-FL Great-grandchildren; Kiley and Kensley Lang and Sister Jean Henne–FL. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Memorial United Methodist Church, 500 Kent Ave, Lake Placid, FL 33852.
