To Richard and Emilie - I just found out this sad news in the Washington Post yesterday. I remember Sandi fondly from our days at Lafayette ES and from our girls' soccer games. I cannot tell you how sad I am that I have lost touch with the 3 of you. I know Kane and Emilie are on fb but I had no idea that Sandi was ill. She was so beautiful and bright. Really a lovely person. I am lucky to have known her. I will keep you in my prayers.

While I only had the privilege of knowing Sandi through professional channels, she impressed me with her humor, intelligence, insight and caring. May her memory be for a blessing to all who knew her and especially to her family.
