Sandra was a huge influence for me as a parishioner and moderator at Murray UU Church. Her kindness, savvy wisdom, and integrity helped our church members through difficult times. I send my deepest condolences to the family at their loss of a genuine fine lady.

I met Sandra in fall 2003 when my husband was very ill with cancer and my friend Donna invited me to her church because it was "bring a friend to church day," she said. Sandra's sermon, in which she quoted the playwright Eugene Ionesco, blew me away. I'll never forget her line, which I'm paraphrasing: hope is not what you wish for in the outcome, but an orientation of the spirit.
