Sandra Kaye Legg

Mrs Legg graced my three now adult children's lives; how fortunate we all were. I remember the claw foot tub with fluffy pillows to get into and read to reward schoolwork; and the love of reading! Having something special to say about each child; building on that and creating strengths; honesty about each child with parents; greatly appreciated. I'm sure she fought a hard fight; I hope family and others can sense the love and compassion now that she gave on this earth. God bless.

Sandy leaves her legacy with hundreds and hundreds of students. A gift. Her spirit lives on through many.

I will never forget the wonderful friend I had in Sandy. Her kindness, caring, and her beautiful smile were genuine. It was at Mt. Calvary and then East Jr. High that we became best friends. Sandy, Marlene and the family helped me through those difficult years as I dealt with the loss of my parents.
I regret that we lost touch when I moved away, but I can see from everyone's kind words that she was the same Sandy I remembered inside and out. I pray for peace and comfort to all her...

The Legg Family, so sorry for your loss. I didn't have "Miss Odegard" (that was her name when I went to school at palmer lake. In the late 70's) but I remember having her for some class's. She did alot with my teacher at the time a Miss Olsen. She was truelly gifted teacher and I'm glad that I had her. Thinking about her brings a smile to me. A send you a special Prayer for a special Lady!!!

Mrs. Legg was my sixth grade teacher and I was so blessed to have a woman like her in my life. I am 26 now and have thought about Mrs. Legg frequently as I have matured and moved forward with my own life and career. I can truly say, from the classic 'left-behind' viewpoint, that Mrs. Legg was a woman that is gone too soon. Dear Legg Family, so sad to learn of Mrs. Legg's passing. 28 years ago I was in the 6th grade at Palmer Lake. Ms. Legg was my teacher for reading and math. Reflecting on my time in her classroom and her kindness makes me smile all these years later. She has touched so many lives and is a bright light in the public education system. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Our daughter, Nicole, was a student in her class in 1989. Mrs. Legg was one of her favorite teachers. She was so kind and encouraging and able to bring the best out in her students. She was truly one of a kind and will be missed by so many. As parents, we were very grateful that Nicole was able to spend a school year with her. We will always remember her with great fondness. Mrs. Legg was one of the best teachers i ever had she was one of the teachers that loved helping her students with not just their school work but with any kind of problems they had. I always enjoyed being in her class when i was in elementary school she was one of the best teachers i ever had and she will be missed by not just me but also by all the students shes taught and she will never be forgotten R.I.P

Ms Legg was always a favorite at Palmer Lake. I remember both of my children, Rachael and Nick were SO excited to learn they would have Ms. Legg as their teacher. She was truly gifted in knowing her students and using their interests to enhance their desire to learn. (Cribbage and Chess tournaments at lunch!) I took a photo of the 3 of them together on Nick's last day of 6th grade, 3 years ago. We will treasure the photo and her memory. She has left a great many students who's lives are...
