Not sure what to say?

To the Banton family,
I just wanted to let you know how saddened I was to hear of the passing of Scott. We were fraternity brothers at VCU and I have many fond memories of him. I'm very thankful that I had the chance to know Scott and will keep memories of him forever.

You have been inspirational with your strength and grace as you battled cancer right along Scotts side. You and the children are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for your pain and loss. So many people love you. Be certain to lean on them for whatever you need.
In Christ's love,
Martha Nicholas

My thoughts and prayers are with the Banton family. What a great guy. He was my football coach at Hermitage in '85 & '86. I have many fond memories of those days. He was able to motivate us, as well as keep us laughing, all at the appropriate times. I saw him several times on the VCU campus and although I never met his children, I would definitely call him a 'proud papa.'

Erika, Danielle and Erik- I have been fortunate enough to get to know your family through the Rudolph's. Cheryl is my sister. Our hearts are with you through this ordeal. Caryl, Peter, and Adrienne.

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I know no words to soften your loss at this time. Though it was much too short, you and your children were truely blessed to have a such a wonderful man in your life. If you ever need anything we are always here for you.

Scott was such a wonderful person. He always found humor in most any situation. For many years he made me laugh and I will always remember all the great times we shared together!

My prayers are with you and your children. May you hold tight to the memories you have of Scott. May God's Grace and Peace surround you at this time.

Erika, Danielle and Erik- We will miss Scott deeply. He was a kind, caring and fun loving guy to be around. Please know that we are here for all of you. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Erika and Family,

What a special person Scott was to so many people. My friendship with you goes back to our school days but we only met Scott a couple of years ago. The blessing was ours. I will never forget his cute sense of humor. What an awesome husband and father he was. The love between you and Scott and the love he had for Erik and Danielle was so obvious the first time we met him. We will always remember his wonderful smile and his passion for his family and life itself....
