Not sure what to say?

I'm sorry, Beth and Stephen and Rachel. Scott was so gifted and he had such potential. This is so sad. Your words about addiction are true. The disease has control, no matter how loved the individual. I wish you strength and peace.

I do not know you or your son. My son was connected to your son through substance abuse treatment. My son has been struggling (still/again) and just went back into intensive treatment this week. Learning about Scott helped push him to make the decision to return to intensive treatment. So perhaps, it can help you just a little to know that your dear son has influenced another dear son. I am so sorry for you loss.

This has been such a tough time, and we have lost too many loved ones. My words are inadequate, and so is my well wishing. However, know me and other of your cousins are shocked and saddened. Too soon, too soon.

Beth and Stephen,
We were so sorry to hear about Scott. Please know that we are thinking of you and hope that happy memories of Scott will help you get through this difficult time.

Thinking of you and praying for you and your family. Much love to you. Thank you for your bravery in sharing his story and reaching out to others who struggle with addiction.

To Scotts family,
I was deeply sorry to hear of the death of Scott. I had the pleasure of meeting Scott in a group meeting about 2 months ago. I found him to be a very bright young man with a bright future ahead of him if he could only kick the addiction that he had. I am very sorry for your loss and you have my prayers and deepest sympathy.
Sincerely,
Sandy Helgeland

Beth and Steve: I am so sorry for you grief. He was much to young for this. My sincere condolences. At times like this, life is never fair. Daun Linn
