I am so sorry for your loss. Scott was a good friend of my brother Bob and since he was younger than me I believe he looked up to me as an older brother. I was serving in the Air Force when Scott came to see me one day when I was home on leave. He wanted to know if it would be a good idea if he was to join the Air Force. I told him it would be the best decision he could make. It looks like it was. Again I am so sorry.

My deepest sympathy to the Manns family. I grew up in the same West Seneca neighborhood as Scott and graduated with him from school. I remember him being a such a great guy and am very saddened to hear of his passing. I hope his family has taken comfort knowing what an impact he made during his life with so many wonderful accomplishments.

I've only known Scott while deploying with him in the last couple years but he's a true patriot and American. It was an honor to work with him in Afghanistan and I just know he's looking down on all of us today. My prayers go out to Scott's family and I'm truly sorry for your loss.

As you know Almudena & Cristina...everyone in the Menschel family is shocked and saddened. You are definitely in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. We really liked Scotts biography and photos. ...it is so true that Scott said very little but when he did it usually did make us crack up! I remember our time in Turkey as next door neighbors, what great times/memories! I remember the time of the earthquake and running out of the house and saw Scott outside doing a little dance as he was shaking with the ground. I am glad we have kept in touch all of these years and I am glad that I was able to see him one last time earlier this year! I only wish we could have done more together but as always you cannot change the past. This is a reminder that life on earth is too short and that you need to enjoy the ones you love and live each day to its fullest. I know Scott enjoyed life to his fullest...he definitely will not be forgotten. If you ever need anything do not hesitate to ask! Love the Menschel's, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany

Words cannot adequately express the true sadness we felt at the news of the passing of Scott. His obituary is a true memorial to the man we remember. The kindness that you showed us when we were stationed together will never be forgotten as I will never forget the good, good man that lived a few doors down who was always wearing Converse! Scott will be missed greatly by all that knew him. There was and will only be... one Scott. A man of few words, but when used, you either got the "zing" of your life or were on the floor rolling in laughter.
