My heart is broken at the news of Shannon's passing. She was a beautiful person and I was blessed to call her my best friend.

My heart goes out to the surviving members of Shannon's family, especially her mother, Melinda, who I work with daily at Mercy Hospital. May you find comfort in the memories that you all share of Shannon. You will be reflecting on them in the weeks ahead. It is never easy to lose a loved one, but I hope faith with many prayers will assist you in these very difficult times.
