My heart is broken at the news of Shannon's passing. She was a beautiful person and I was blessed to call her my best friend.

My heart goes out to the surviving members of Shannon's family, especially her mother, Melinda, who I work with daily at Mercy Hospital. May you find comfort in the memories that you all share of Shannon. You will be reflecting on them in the weeks ahead.
