*SHARON LYNNE GREEN* age 60 of Homosassa, Florida and a former resident
of Leonidas, Michigan died Monday, February 19, 2007 at the H. Lee
Moffett Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida.
She was born January 23, 1947 in Chattanooga, Tennessee a daughter to
the late Albert & Dorothy (Thompson) Potts.
Sharon had resided in Florida for the past 3 years. Prior to moving to
Florida she lived in Leonidas, Michigan for 25 years.
On February 13, 1965 she married Basil Green in Toledo, Ohio.
Sharon had been employed as a Dietary Clerk at the Sturgis Hospital for
18 years and she was a homemaker.
Sharon was a member of St. Mary of Assumption Catholic Church in Bronson
and she enjoyed flowers, gardening and birds.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Basil, 1 Daughter,
Dorothy Green of Leonidas, 2 Sons, Eric Green of Leonidas and Jeffrey
(Deanna) Green of Warren, 1 Step-Daughter, Roxanne (James) Black of
Jacksonville, FL, 1 Step-Son, Vince Green of Tennessee, 9 Grandchildren,
Eric, Jeffrey, Jr., Joey, Justin, Caleb, Joshua, Journey, Rita and
Jared, 3 Step-Grandchildren, Damon, Stacy and Jimmy, 1 Great
Granddaughter, Maya, 3 Sisters, Robin Potts of Detroit, Susan (Ken)
Nixon of Imlay City and Judy (James) VanFleet of St. Claire Shores, 2
Brothers, Gary (Ernie) Potts of Warren and Albert Potts of Inkster and
several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday at the
*HACKMAN-Foglesong Funeral Home *of Sturgis where the Rosary will be
recited at 6:30 P.M. Prayers before the mass will begin at 9:15 AM
Saturday at the funeral home with a procession to St. Mary of Assumption
Catholic Church in Bronson where the Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00
A.M. The Rev. Fr. Richard Fritz will officiate. Following the Funeral
Mass Mrs. Green will be transported to the Faulmann & Walsh Funeral
Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Michigan 586-293-3390 where the family
will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 P.M. Saturday and 2:00-9:00 P.M.
Sunday. The Rosary will be recited Sunday at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral
home. A graveside service and entombment will take place at 10:00 A.M.
Monday at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, MI.
The family suggests those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mrs.
Green’s memory consider the American Cancer Society 5110 S. Sprinkle
Rd., Portage, MI 49002 or the Animal Rescue Fund, 20579 Roys Rd.,
Centreville, MI 49032.
