GRAFTON - Sharon Faye (nee Morrow) Jones, 61 years of age, and a resident of Grafton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at Southwest General Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Sharon was born Feb. 3, 1952, in Delta, KY. She was raised and made her home in Amherst, graduating from Marion L. Steele High School in 1972. Grafton had been her home since 1982.
Sharon was a member of Life Spring Community Church in Valley City, where she was very active in the ministry both in the AWANA program and church cafe. She was a beautician by trade, working at many local salons for over 30 years.
Sharon loved to keep her hands busy and would enjoy doing cross-stitch during her quiet times.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Thomas E. Jones; sister, Carol (James) Kirkpatrick of Amherst; brothers, Paul (Janet) of Amherst and Ira (Linda) of Vermilion; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Hobart W. Morrow in 1978 and Rosalie "Rose" (nee Branscum) Morrow in 2011; and brother, Ronald Terrance Morrow in 2001.
Friends may call Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held on the same day at noon from the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in South Amherst.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Benevolant Fund, c/o Life Spring Community Church, 1638 Lester Road, Valley City, OH 44280.
