April 11, 1935 – September 24, 2017
Shirley J. Bodnar, 82, died peacefully on September 24, 2017. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Bodnar;
foster parents, Holbrook and Muriel
Stevens; and son, Robert R. Jeanfavre, Jr. Survived and already immensely missed by daughter, Debra (Bob) Read; and stepdaughters, Tracy (Michael) Motuzick and
Robin Koscis. Shirley also leaves behind several
grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she
truly adored. Shirley ("my mom"), was loved by
everyone; she made lifelong friends very easily.
After her cancer diagnosis, my mom was not fearful at all. She said, "It is because Jesus is in my heart, and I know where I'm going!" She continued to exude her
radiant smile and positive attitude throughout the entire
journey. God gave my mom confidence in the
knowledge that even better days were ahead in
Heaven! As her daughter, I take comfort in knowing that my mother is now in a better place, and that it will never be "good bye" … it is "see you later, mom!"

Debra,So sorry to hear of your mom's death.I remember going to your home ,on the Norfolk Rd,with my parents Walt and Lucretia.We were very little but I can still hear her voice and see her smile.

Sorry for your loss, rest assured your mom was a vibrant woman that left all she met with a special fondness for her. She was a bright spot in my Caldor days. Shirl, we will meet again!
