Not sure what to say?

You really don't know what ya got til it's gone. I wish you could read all of the amazing things people are saying about you and just how loved you were. There is a huge void in my day as I flash on you and wonder how you are today and when I'd come down to see you again. I find myself planning for my next trip and stopping to get you a milkshake. Then I remember you've moved on to a better place. A place free of pain and where you are reunited with dad. I beleive you are happy and at peace...

Aunt Shirley - I will always have many amazing memories of you and your family in Downers Grove. I remember you as having a wonderful energetic attitude about everything. You always made sure I has something fun to do while the "boys" would be playing. I remember the sandbox tire, the back field behind your house where all the kids played ball, etc., the rivalry between Sox and Cubs (go Cubs!). You will alway be in my heart. Love, Beth (Mackey) Capek

I love you Grandma and you sure will be missed by us all. I know your with Grandpa now and at peace.

Aunt Shirely, I only had one aunt and I couldn't have wished for anyone better. Your love of life, family and friends was forefront as soon as I would walk into your home. I will never forget playing way out in the back yard at your Valpo pinics and being able to hear your infectious laugh, the same joyous voice that was able to yell above the sound of a minibike running through the back field to tell us it was time to eat.

Just writing this brings a broad smile to my face as I'm...

Aunt Shirley,
You will be dearly missed. I have been thinking about you for a while now wondering how you were. Now you are in heaven with Uncle Clancy, Dad and Aunt Lois. I will always remember all the camping trips we took with you and camping in mom and dad's field. We all had such a ball. I also remember the picnics you had in Downers Grove, seeing all the cousins and aunts and uncles. My most wonderful memory is when I got to stay at your house for a week in the summertime. Will...

God saw you getting tired. When a cure was not to be,
He closed his arms around you and whispered, "Come with Me".
In tears we saw you sinking. We watched you fade away.
Our hearts were breaking; you fought so hard to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping so peacefully free from pain,
We could not wish you back to suffer so again.
So keep your arms around her Lord, and give her special care.
Make up for all she suffered and all that seemed unfair.

I have very fond memories of Shirley. I lived with the Dick family when they lived in Downers Grove. It was a loving, fun filled home and I have the best memories of being there. My favorite memories with Shirley were during the holiday. You couldn't walk into the house without the smell of cookies baking. And she made the best cookies! She was a kind and caring person and she had a wonderful family. And boy did she love them all! I'll never forget you Shirley. God bless you and please tell...

I know it's always too late when you realize just how great your life was when you're a child growing up. I listen to people tell me stories of their own childhood experiences with their parents and I sit back and say, "Wow, did I have it made" My Mother and Father were 2 of the BEST parents any child could ever had. Our family was full of love and time spent together, I will always charish these memories I was given by my mother and my inspiration. I just hope I can come close to...
