Always in my heart

I am Barbara Montague, first cousin of Shirley. It is sad to hear of her passing. I have so many memories of growing up in Alamance and spending my childhood surrounded by my aunts and uncles and cousins. I remember Shirley as a small child with all her sisters, playing and laughing. I so loved my uncle David. I have been gone from Burlington for many years so Shirley remains a young person in my mind. I pray for your comfort. Surround yourselves with family and friends.

Shirley was one of the smartest, sweetest, most compassionate ladies I’ve ever met. She was always willing to help any person who came into the courthouse. One of the best!

You were the sweetest person I have ever known. My heart hurts and I miss you terribly but know that you no longer suffer and are whole again in Heaven.
