I remember Shirley and Joe well, from my early childhood at St. George's in Durham. Always so kind, friendly, loving and caring. She was a very gentle soul and will be missed.

Shirley was one of all-time favorites and will be greatly missed. She was wonderful as Chris' Mom when we were in school together, and graciously hosted our family for our annual day at the lake for more than 20 years.
