Not sure what to say?

While listening to organ music last evening, I was taken back in time some 60 years to a pew at First Baptist Church in Omaha. The highlight of my Sunday mornings was listening to Mr. Case play wonderful spirit-filled classical music on the pipe organ. His choice of music and exuberant style were a wonderful introduction to classical organ music and a glimpse into the sounds that magnificent pipe organ was capable of producing with a talented organist at the controls. To this day, it still...

Mr. Case was such a fine man and a wonderful teacher. His passing diminishes all of us who knew and loved him. He instilled a sense of passion and a joy for music in all his students. He taught us how to believe in ourselves, and we made such beautiful music.

I learned other lessons from him: teamwork, persistence, and a desire for excellence. Those lessons gave me a great start in life and I am so thankful.

He touched so many people. My condolences to Mrs. Case,...

Sid was one of the most influencial people in my life and I will always carry a little of his enthusiasm for life and his understanding of excellence with me. Over the years, I have been very fortunate to have Sid keep in touch with us. His son, Chris, was going to Purdue in recent years so he and his family dropped by a couple of times on their way to Indiana. I also got to see him in Omaha a year ago or so. He really hadn't changed and still looked great, had the same long hair he was...

Words cannot express the deep loss to all of us who knew this wonderful teacher, friend, and mentor. Sid Case has been an inspiration to me since North High School days when he gave me a chance to join the choir even though I couldn't sing a note. But I got the opportunity to have a dancing part in the grand production of "Camelot" and I had the privilege to experience the arts under his guidance and direction. Sid and Donna became dear friends and have stood by me every stage of my life....

I just found out about the passing of Mr. Case. He was my music teacher at North High School and was always considered the "coolest" teacher ever. I remember how he wore his hair long when no one in the school was suppose to, and he always would give you passes to leave school early. But on a more serious note, he was one of the nicest, most dedicated teachers I ever had. He always made you so excited to be in his class and in any musicals that he was directing. We will all miss him very...

He was a wonderful credit to mankind,to his family and relatives.

I cannot begin to express my sadness at Sid's passing on to another life, but gladness for him to be free and at home.
I remember the wonderful times with Sid & Donna so many years ago in New England.
I rejoice for his wonderful legacy--his children, his teaching, his music making and the joy he shared with all of us.
I send my love to Donna, his children and his family. He was really just a very, very special person. His smile alone was worth a million dollars.

I am so saddened to learn of the passing of Sidney Case.

Quite simply, he was the most influential educator in my life. His gift to all of his students was the enduring appreciation of music; the Arts and striving for academic excellence. I am profoundly grateful and privileged for having been one of his music students.

My deepest sympathies to Mrs. Case and their children; family and friends for the passing of this wonderful, gifted man.
