Sonny’s passion in life was the Livestock Industry.  He was instrumental in starting the Wichita Junior Livestock Assoc., helped with the growth of the Livestock Show at the T&O Fair after it was moved to Wichita Falls, and was a supporter of the cattle program at Westview Boys Home in Hollis, Oklahoma.  He was very proud of the boys and their accomplishments.    In memory of his grandson, Colton Bentley, Sonny started a memorial scholarship program for graduating seniors who were interested in Junior Livestock. Sonny was well known throughout the country in the Cattle Industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Karen Motley; and his grandson, Colton Bentley.

Not sure what to say?

So sorry for your loss Rosemary. I really enjoyed my time working with Sonny and he sure knew where to get the best Key Lime Pie where ever we were. Peace and comfort be with you.

We will miss this man so much. Love and prayers for Rosemary. ❤

Sorry to all for your loss. Sonny was a friend and I have many fond memories of your whole family. I am sorry I cant make the service but you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Rosemary and Howard Wayne I am sorry for your lose and your family is in my prayers. Just remember Sonny could always put a smile on any ones face that were around him for any time. I tell folks about him all the time and I do not think I ever say him mad. I did learn he would volunteer you first for something then come and ask you you were willing to do it. you could not turn the man down.

Sonny was the always the happiest most generous man I have ever met. He was always laughing and telling funny jokes. I will surely miss him. See you again soon Sonny!

Rosemary and Howard Wayne, there will never be the right words to say how sorry I am about the loss of such a great friend. Sonny was my friend almost my whole life. Never judging but always supporting my adventures. Rodeos, stock shows, or just life in general. I had the pleasure of having a true friend, older brother, father figure. He never met a stranger and had an infectious smile that I will carry in my heart always.

...

Sonny's friendship and his wonderful humor fill my memories with joy and a longing to tell him how much he will be missed. I pray that remembering his zest for life will ease his family's pain.

Rest In Peace, my friend. I will always miss seeing you and Rose at our fun place.

Sonny was a great friend and coworker . I will always remember him!!!
