Not sure what to say?

Dr. Was a godsend! When I see my mom and the care dr. Sophie gave her in delivering my baby sister, my children´s´ faces I see dr Sophie´s heart and loving care throughout all my 4 deliveries of my beautiful children! (Now adults) she also delivered my first granddaughter and grandson as well!

Sincere sympathy to your entire family in the loss of your mother and grandmother. She delivered me nearly 58 years ago and was my mom's OB/GYN for many years. My mother always spoke so highly of her, admiring her as a spitfire and a woman of strength, knowledge and commitment. Her intervention early on actually afforded my mom a long life that could've been shortened had it not been for Dr Schorr's skill and competence. I just passed her office/home on Genesee St the other day and it brought...

My sincere condolences to all of the family. Dr. Schorr was not only my Dr. but a friend and I did her hair for many years as well. I tried to keep in touch with her and saw her a few times in Fl. I always kept her in my prayers. I pray that she will truly rest in peace. We were out of town and I just found out she passed or I would have attended services for her. God bless, Mary Hosey

Dr.Sophie was the best SHE delivered MY son in 1977 and my daughter 1980 GOD BLESS

Dr Schorr was the absolute best! How I missed her when she left the area! She delivered my youngest sister, delivered my four children and then delivered my daughters first daughter!..three generations! I remember her bringing in my granddaughter a birth gift in the hospital....she said was almost like her granddaughter! We all loved her so much....I'm so sorry I missed her funeral...I just now saw the obituary. My love and prayers go out to her family....I know with a mother like her...

It was a lovely & most fitting service today, which fully captured Sophie's love, compassion & caring for all.

The entire Becker family sends their condolences; our thoughts with you!

What a wonderful legacy she leaves behind. She delivered my younger sister, and my oldest son also. I remember one month I gained 7 lbs during pregnancy, and she scolded me and said "do as I say, not as I do", and she was so excited when my son was born, because she knew I came from a family of girls. I loved her walls plastered with baby photos. She was one of a kind.

So sorry to read of Sophie's passing. Although we were based at different hospitals we did work together occasionally. What I remember most was attending our Central NY OB dinner meetings. I usually sat with Sophie, Murray Nusbaum, Harold Baum and Ed Furcinito. Sophie never ate her dessert and always gave it to one of us. Yes, those were the good days of medicine where we we all colleagues, not competitors. While I don't do Private practice anymore I try to pass this on to my medical...
