My heartfelt condolences to Mr. S's sister, children and grandchildren. I only learned of his passing today and am sorry I could not be at the funeral. His intelligence, energy and sense of humour were only beat by his tremendous empathy. He was a wonderful husband also, and Barbara and Spyros were the loveliest, sweetest people to each other, always role models for me. I miss them both very much. Travel well, Mr. S.

To the Skouras family;
I am saddened to hear about your father's passing. My father, Sol Septimus, had the privilege of working as your father's financial advisor at Prudential Lines for many years, and had a deep respect for your father's integrity as a businessman and a human being. Best wishes. Joe Septimus

I remember so many meals in the dining room at High Pastures. Lively conversations, great company and the lovely presence of dogs. The passing of Spyros is truly the end of an era. May we all step up to the plate to make a better world for our next generation.

With the Greatest Respect for a Great Man, Jana Moorman

My condolences to Spyros' family. I was his lawyer for many years, and it was always stimulating, and a pleasure, to work with him. He had a lively intelligence, a solid business sense and, even more to the point, was kind and sensitive to all who worked for or with him.

Though I knew that someday soon I would read Mr. Skouras's name here, it does not make it any easier for me to accept his passing. Mr. and Mrs. Skouras were both my customers at SUPER HANDY HARDWARE in Glenville. I helped them out with many things and repaired their screens. I found them both charming and I was saddened by the passing of Mrs. Skouras a few years ago. Now I am made sad once again. My condolences.
