Steve recruited me and was my mentor. He taught me how to be a lawyer. We tried a two-month case in Arizona together. He was a good friend and a wonderful man. He will be missed.

Had the pleasure of working with Stephen Carlson at Sidley Austin for several years. He was one of the most brilliant legal minds and kindest people I ever met. A great loss to the legal field and to the entire world! Condolences to his family and all who knew him! Blessings to all.. Janet Kralovec
