Not sure what to say?

One of the best professors at Augsburg College. I will always remember your joyful spirit and infectious smile. Rest in peace Gabe!

I'm a 1981 graduate of Augsburg. Gabe was always a sunshiny presence around campus, but I got better acquainted with him in 1985 on a trip to Germany, chartered by Augsburg. What a joyous time. Gabe's love of music, family and life in general was so infectious. I will remember him with pleasure & gratitude. God bless you, Kathleen. I have no doubt that Gabe is playing the organ at heaven's chapel services.

Gabe was my instructor for History and Literature of Music I & II. Although I was unhappy at the time with the demands of the class-and the eventual grade, I benefited in the long run. Thanks for your belief in my ability, Gabe. I understand they have the BEST organs with which to accompany the heavenly choirs!

A wonderful musician and colleague. A good friend for many years. Condolences to his whole family. We miss you, Gabe

Gabe was one of my favorite college professors! However, I wasn't fond of his early morning theory classes. I loved his joyful, happy spirit which he always brought to class, even though it was too early in the morning! He was the organist at my wedding back in 1979. I loved listening to Gabe's recitals... I was amazed by his talent. His kind, soft-spoken character will be missed. Blessings to his family. Jennie Clark-Anderson, 1981 graduate Augsburg

I was privileged to tour with Gabe in the Crossmen Quartet representing LBI in the summer of 1958. He accompanied me on my trombone, playing "The Holy City" every night for ten weeks. He also taught me to play tennis that summer. I thank God for his talent, his friendship, and his solid faith. Thank you God for Gabe.
Pastor Wendell Brown, Paso Robles, Ca.

Goodbye to a wonderful teacher, musician and friend. A favorite memory: Gabe's comical pantomime act at our annual Augsburg Music Dept Christmas party, where he also told the best Ole and Lena jokes. Jenny Kelley, Auggie

My husband, Ben Larson and I were on the Norweign tour with the Cenntenial Singers and got to know Gabe so very well. His Christian faith was so evident in all he did and his sweet spirit was always shone. One highlight for both of us was his mini concert on the organ at the Trondheim Cathedral, ansd we felt as if the gates of heaven were ringing. My husband and I were Auggie grads from a much earlier era but with Augsburg contacts, knew Gabe. My husband passed away 2 years ago and I know...

I'm so sad to hear this. I have SO many wonderful memories of music camp both as a participant and then as camp counselor, etc. The whole Gabrielsen family is in my heart today. Thinking of you all. Peace to you.
