Stevie was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation. He was a big sports fan and enjoyed rooting for the Saints and LSU. He also liked to have a cold one or two at his favorite bar with friends and family. He will always be in our hearts, part of our spirit, and will be greatly missed by all. I can remember many games of ball at Eleanor Playground, St. Francis, and Audubon Park back in the day. Stevie seemed to tower over everyone. He could play the game - football, basketball, and baseball - he was a great all around athlete with a happy disposition. Some many fun times. Condolences to his family. May he RIP and may perpetual light shine upon him.

I'm so sorry to be reading this about Steve. I've been thinking about him recently bc I haven't been setting up at Parlay's on a Friday, as early as I used to when I first started my business. Steve was one of my favorite, loyal, and most friendly customers from the very start. I knew his order, 3 crawfish sausages to go, no bun! He would joke with me! When he bought a hat from me, he would say, "If you keep me waiting here any longer for these sausages to cook, you're going to sell me a t-shirt too!" He was a great man. May his memory be a blessing.
