Not sure what to say?

We are so saddened to just learn the Steve had passed away. Although, we hadn't crossed paths in a while, we always loved his warm personality and great sense of humor. He was a loyal friend. Our boys loved it when they were little. When he would be over, he would stick coins under their pillow at bedtime. They loved him and called him "Our Pennyman" Steve was very special and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with Pat, Eric and David. Mimi and Ron Reich

Steve Way was not only a dedicated Director at UAB but also a true friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His leadership, compassion, and unwavering support made a lasting impact on the UAB family. Steve´s approachable nature and commitment to making UAB a better place for everyone left an indelible mark on all of us. He was a source of guidance and inspiration, always ready to lend an ear or offer a helping hand. Steve will be greatly missed, but his legacy of kindness,...

My wife and I first met Steve & Pat on a river boat cruise a few years ago while overseas...they are both the type of people who from your first interaction, it´s like you´ve known them for years...genuine, funny, engaging. We´ll miss you Steve and your self-deprecating humor and love of life. God bless you, Pat and the entire Way family.

Steve lived a life of integrity and a dedication to helping others. We spent many wonderful times with Steve and his lovely wife Pat. We especially enjoyed times at their cabin in Arnold when our children were young. Steve was a good friend for over 50 years and will be sorely missed but always remembered. Linn and Elaine Green

Steve and I would bump into each other at the memory care floor of Sunrise, where he visited with his mother and I visited with my grandfather. If I went and Steve wasn't there, I could always bring a huge smile to his mother's face by telling her that I had had seen him and what a fine man she raised. He truly was and will be missed.

Stephen A Way was one of the most honest, loyal, kindest, gentle person you would ever have the honor to know. After 50+ years of friendship we will miss him deeply.

Steve will always e remembered as a dedicated San Mateo Rotarian & I always enjoyed our times together, what a fun guy!
