Not sure what to say?

To the whole Maher family it is so difficult to form words. I met Steve at Hogan Senior High. He was kind of shy, but he was great about making people feel welcome/ included. One of my favorite memories of Steve was 1991 when my Mom passed, Steve invited me to breakfast. He asked if there was anything he could do? He had already done it just by being a friend/ brother at that time when I really needed a friend. Steve R.I.P.

My deepest sympathies to the family. It´s been many years since I was cheering our team on at Hogan. I was looking forward to seeing former classmates at our reunion next year. Rest in peace and power former Spartan.

Janice, Malcolm, Mike, Ellie, Kim & Erik, Greg & Julie, Steves Wife Lori, Son Travis and family We send our sincerest Condolences, we're so sorry to hear of Steves passing. I saw him not too long ago, and he was so Kind & welcoming and inviting us to attend church. He is an amazing man.. I remember back in 1980, steve and i were in the Christmas play, i played Mary, he was Jesus, he kept making me laugh, im so thankful i did not have to speak during the play. Fond memories for sure....

for Maher Family. Sending a blessing and my love to Lori my friend

Among my best childhood memories is Sunday dinners at Grandma Nellie's after church. Steve was the leader of all the kids, and he always took time away from the ball game, washing his gigantic truck or blowing up Tonka toys with firecrackers, to come play in the backyard with my sister and me for chicken fights on his or Mike's shoulders. And that precisely sums up who he was -- kind and generous with an unwavering moral compass. I cherish all my memories with the Mahers, and in your...
