Not sure what to say?

Remembering Steve from the time he began his career as a "baby lawyer" through his well earned accomplishments and success in the legal community brings me personal joy. He touched many lives and will be missed by all. I pray for Melissa, his sons and the entire family and friends and hope they can hold fast to fond memories. Sincerely,

I mourn the loss of a dear friend. His time on this earth was too short, but he accomplished much. Blessings to the Burton family. H. Lee Moffitt

Steve and I were Fraternity Brothers at USF. Never before have I met a more sincere, intelligent and funny person in my life. I know that I am a better man because of my association with him and he will be greatly missed by all. I will see you on the other side my Brother. Phi Alpha

See you on the other side my friend. We will race again. Be at peace

I've had the pleasure of his company several times in last couple of years. Zak actually tested for rank at my academy under the watchful eye of instructor Mike Allen, and Steve was there offering encouragement... never interrupting, just being there for his son. A wonderful man, with two wonderful sons. God Bless Steve Burton.

Steve and I were teammates on the cross country team at Chamberlain High School and he was a fierce competitor even back then. He never backed away from a challenge and I am not surprised to see how many things he accomplished during his lifetime. He will be greatly missed.

My heart goes out to Steve's family. I am so happy that he and Melissa Helms found each other. Although she had to say goodbye she knows that he loved her. May you rest in peace Steve.

Steve and Beth sharing a funny memory about the good ole days at CHS

I was very blessed to have known Steve at Chamberlain High School. We were on the Totem yearbook staff our senior year and what fun we had. I am so glad I got to reconnect with him at our 30 year high school reunion at Clearwater beach. I remember Friday night just picking up like old times, laughing and reminiscing. We both graduated from USF and attended Idlewild Baptist church. We talked a lot that night about his faith and how proud he was of his sons and being their father. I know he is...

Let us endeavor so as to live in that when we die even the undertaker will cry... Mark Twain - Steve so lived his life leaving all of us too soon yet humbled by his friendship, counsel and leadership... You will be dearly missed my friend but never ever forgotten - God rest your soul eternally and comfort your family and friends with his peace and grace...
