Steven "Steve" Michael King died unexpectedly in his home on August 18, 2015 in Houston, TX at the age of 55.
A visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 21st, 2015 at 10:00 am at Forest Park Westheimer, with a funeral service following at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Steve King Memorial Fund via the GoFundMe link: gofundme.com/bj298zn4 .

Prayers and condolences to Steve's family - I was a classmate of Steve's in high school. He was a kind, considerate, funny young man then - and from what I have read in this moving Obit; he perfected these characteristics in later years as a husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and mentor.
Though it has been a lifetime since I last saw Steve, I am saddened by this news. As I type this note, I fondly remember his laugh and sly grin as we engaged in some mischief at VIanney!

Steve was a good friend of mine who supported me in many ways. Steve single handed helped keep the 5th largest refinery in the US in operation by responding quickly to emergency conditions. Steve and I developed a good friendship over the 20 plus years that we worked together. He alwys updated me on the status of his children and I updated him on the status of my children. We had an excellant working relationship and a very good friend relationship outside of the business world. I will truly miss Steve King.
