Stuart Rutherford Obituary - Death Notice and Service Information

RUTHERFORD, Stuart Irwin, 79, of Chesterfield, passed away quietly on Monday, April 21, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He is survived by his loving wife, Ilene Parker Rutherford; children and their spouses, Belinda and Doug Kunkel, Paul and Rhonda Rutherford, James Rutherford, Lisa and Steve Cosby, Evelyn and David Williams; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 23, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chesterfield Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 14301 Ashbrook Pkwy. His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Herman Baptist Church, 18100 Genito Road, Moseley, Va. 23120.
