Not sure what to say?

It is hard to believe it has been 3 years. As merchants and neighbors on Edgewater we shared so many interesting and humorous conversations. One evening Bob and I had her over for dinner. I was surprised when she joined in with our Catholic prayer and later blessed herself in the holy water. She shared with me that as a child she had attended a Catholic boarding school. She was so gracious and lovely. I miss her. Shirley

Today we learned of Sue's passing. Have just
read all the prior notes, and everyone captured her spirit so well words escape me.
Let me just say Sue and Hartwell were the best neighbors; for ten years we lived across the street. On the first week of our arrival, Hartwell came to the door with a cake Sue had baked (after working all day at the shop).

We loved both Sue and Hartwell, and now they are together again. We are so thankful to have known this wonderful...

Just learning of Sue's passing. Have known her in College Park since 1976 when I came into her shop to have a cute appliqué skirt made for our 3 yr old daughter. Have been a fan of Sue's since that time and always stopped in to say Hello at her businesses throughout the years. She sure will be missed. What a beautiful lady she was ❤

Angelyn and Binky, we were so saddened to hear about the passing of your Mom. I think of all the years I knew your parents. When we were kids hanging out at the pool on Ardsley Drive and all the parties our parents threw in that Golden Age of the Mad Men era. How your Dad would always say he was around when cameras were run on kerosene. Your Mom's wonderful smile and that coy look she would give you when you were crossing a line of appropriateness or decorum. Working with your Dad in my adult...

God took home a beautiful Chi Omega sister. She's now in Omega Chapter.

I toast you, Sue A. Conklin!

Dear Sue~ Thank you for your love of others, your grace in difficult situations, your knowledge of all things protocol, your laughter and lightheartedness (especially with your husband), your charm in knowing the right thing to say or the right gift to give, and your hospitality always. You are a remarkable woman. Blessed Be!

Ange,

I was terribly saddened to read about your Mom's passing in today's paper. Sue and I go back many years, and she was a true Southern Lady..full of charm, grace, and passion. I so enjoyed working with her over the years, planning parties, Jeanne and my wedding, all of my personal letters and business cards..bringing her back Swiss chocolates...she will be missed by all of us who were fortunate to have her as a friend. Please accept my deepest condolences. Jeanne and I wish you...
