Sui Lin Chow Obituary
Sui Lin was born on February 8, 1936 in Taishan, Guangdong, China to parents Hong Kai Liu (father) and Bik Yuk Liu (mother). Sui Lin married Fook Kung Chow in Hong Kong in 1960. They came to Canada in 1965. They had two children together and worked in restaurants for 25 years. They lived in Hazelton, BC for 4 years then moved to Prince George, BC in 1969. In 1990, they moved to Vancouver, BC. Her husband, Fook Kung Chow, died of cancer in 1992 at the age of 60.
She is survived by her son William Chow (Ami) and her daughter May Harvester (Steve) and 5 grandchildren: Alexandria, Trevor, Joshua, Colton and Luke. She is also survived by her step-sisters Helen Lai and Sherry Liu and their children Ryan, Jasmyn, Amanda, Mitchell, Ashton and Jessica.
Sui Lin was a humble, kind woman who enjoyed gardening, Chinese dancing and spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of the Chinese Seniors Group at Renfrew Community Centre in Vancouver for many years. She was a generous, gracious and giving person. She will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held in Surrey, BC on Saturday, September 22, 2018.
