Not sure what to say?

In reading the other messages I am reminded of how wonderful Susie was! When I was with her I felt that I had all of her attention but reading these messages I realized that her life was full of far more people and projects than I could imagine. She was such a lovely and loving woman that always was generous with her time and energy and I loved her very much and I remember her very very often . Nobody is like her.

Dear Norma and family: I am so very saddened by the loss of Susie. She was a wonderful friend over these many years. Luckily the Hoaglands and Hurleys were Phoenix neighbors. We grew up together. Childhood memories of playing jacks, Susie and I visiting the Heard any time just by walking in, enjoying the Hurley playhouse, back yard birthday parties and of course, Susie's lending library for all the neighborhood kids. Thankfully our friendship continued at the U of A, and later over lunches...

Many of her beautiful qualities and talents appear in my friend, her daughter, Christina, and I am thankful for these gifts. I send my condolences to the whole family.

OUR HEARTS AND PARYERS ARE WITH ALL OF THE FAMILY. SUSIE WAS AN INSPERATION TO US ALL. WE ARE SO BLESSED TO HAVE KNOWN HER. SHE WILL BE MISSED GREATLY.

We will miss Susie at our luncheon at ARMY NAVY COUNTRY CLUB in Fairfax VA. We will treasure the good times we shared. May you rest in GODS HANDS.

Denise and Bob, Christine and Jim, Pat and Susy, John, and all your families. The beautiful words is her obituary captured the essence of Susie so perfectly. I will treasure forever the good times we shared last summer when she visited me in Pennsylvania. My life was immensely blessed by Susie's friendship. My very deepest sympathy for your loss. Susie will live on in our hearts.

I thank God and Theta for bringing this wonderful woman into my life. May she rest in peace. And may her loved ones find comfort knowing how much she is loved by those she touched.

It's difficult to find words. Susie was a very special lady who touched the hearts of countless people, including ours. We made wonderful memories together that will continue to live on . Our deep condolences to the entire family.

To Pat, Denise, Christine, John, and your dear families: It's hard to say good-bye to your loving mother, your wonderful and outstanding Nana, and your endearing companion. Susie "D" was always fun and interesting to be with; she was wise in life and personality; and a supreme optimist about people, especially children. We felt warmly accepted into her home and by the whole family even before our Susy and Pat "tied the knot."

It was a privilege to know her. We send our prayerful...
