Not sure what to say?

Susan was my roommate at UMass in our sophomore Year there, Wel ived on a French Corrider in a triple room with a 3rd roommate, Marie. We are sorry for her loss.

Susan was a lovely, intelligent woman, who had much to give and gave it to countless others. A life well lived. I came here by way of looking for a book she wrote many years ago about alternative business models and just learned here that she had passed away. I hope her various crews, family and kids for all over the world, will always remember the great kindness she shared.

What a great loss the world has suffered with Susan's passing. She was both beautiful inside and out and we always had such a connection over the past 45 years, beginning with their Crossroads kids sleeping in my young vineyards. Her legacy lives on in her children.

I was just Googling "Crossroads America" and found this entry. The name jumped off the page. I went on Crossroads in 1971 and it was a remarkable, unforgettable experience. 39 years is a long time, but I will never forget the Hermans. So sorry to hear of Susan's passing. -- Sam Katz, Manhattan

We met Susan and Richard at a wedding in 1970 and it was an event that changed our lives. Working for Interlocken's Crossroads program, falling in love with New Hampshire, and sharing the vitality and creativity of the Interlocken "family" were the ingredients that drew us to a life in the Granite State. We will always remember Susan's meals in that pine-scented kitchen in Windsor or watching her knit a sweater during a camp meeting. She was such a vital force that it's easier to think of...

I first met Susan at OBTC and instantly felt a connection to her...all at once gentle and yet forthright, spiritual and grounded, loving and loved, and beautiful inside and out. We played tennis together, shared a room together, and even knitted together (she was my mentor!). What an awesome and inspirational person...and what a deep loss to her family and many friends. My thoughts and prayers are with all whose lives were touched by Susan.

I experienced a deep wave of sadness this morning when I learned of Susan's passing. I will think of her whenever I experience a crystal clear New England day or hear the tones of a flute.

I met Susan at KSC when she was my professor for a Human Resource Mgt. course. She was someone I looked up to because of her ability to succeed in life and I knew I just had to ask her to be my advisor. I will never forget the encouragement she gave me to succeed not only at KSC but in my professional life as well. I am grateful I was touched by her graciousness, knowledge, wisdom, her smile and I am saddened to hear of this news. I am very sorry for your loss.

Susan was one of the most life-loving, gracious, joyful and smart women. She added to all of our lives and will be sorely missed. My condolences to her family and friends.
