My thoughts and prayers are with the Chappelear family. Sylvia was a wonderful parent, I always enjoyed seeing her and talking about the fun times we had at Wisner watching Timmy and Jimmy playing baseball. Both boys were good athletes and were city champs. Thanks for some great memories. Rest in peace-Sylvia.

My condolences to the family. May the wonderful memories of your loved one comfort you until the God of love promises are fulfilled. 1 Thessalonians 4:13,14

I had the pleasure of meeting Sylvia when she came to live at Colony House. I was working there at the time. We had countless lunches together. Loved her ham. She was so full of life. I moved to Gainesville and we have always stayed in touch. I will always miss her. I'm proud to call her my friend. I am so sorry for your your loss. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jimmy, Timmy, Kim and Sylinda...I don't know if you remember me from our fun times at the Gulfside Motel many years ago.....I just happened to see your mothers obituary and recognized the last name. I'm sorry to hear of her passing. Yall are in my thoughts and prayers. Melanie Landry
