the memory of my Flamenco classes with Teresa continues to inspire me. The other day I was invited to take some Flamenco classes here in Salt Lake City. I am looking into starting to do it again...Even though it i 33 years since I took the class, I love dance and remember how fond I was of the classes with Teresa. How coincidental that I was invited to this class-it happened around the celebration of Teresa's life. Angels are among us, I know it. Thank you for this gift from above. Thank you...

I started my Spanish dance career with Teresa in New Orleans in the early 70s. She was a beautiful dancer and very kind. When I moved back to New York she recommended me to Mariquita Flores, with whom I studied for 15 years. Another great dancer! It amazes me what a role Spanish dance-- and these two women-- have had in my life! I have been very lucky!

My condolensces to Teresa´s family and friends. As an unlikely flamenco student (beginner and intermediate semesters) at University of Maine she transformed me into a fan of flamenco and a better dancer. She also taught us jazz (beginner and intermediate). Her enthusiasm and humor made classes very enjoyable. Her dance techniques were always infused over the decades. Viking is sponsoring a flamenco diiner abd performance in Spain on our cruise. It made me think of Teresa with warmth in my...

I was one of her students, 1981-1985 UMaine (UMO. then). She introduced me to the beautiful world of dance, especially flamenco. Some of my favorite memories from college were her classes and traveling the state performing. She was a great teacher, beautiful, almost mystical to me. I have always been so grateful to her. I wish I could have told her. She gave me the vision that I could have dance in my life. At 60 years old I am still dancing. Percussive dance is still my favorite. Thank...

I still Think of Theresa and how she touched my life at UMaine. I was not the best dancer in her class but I tried my best. I can remember her cheering me on. Once she wrote me a beautiful letter when I was 20 years old-this was after one semester in her class. Her words stuck with me- she was recognizing how dedicated , committed and positive I was and urged me to continue to do things that made me happy. Her words still inspire me and I still love dancing.

I was lucky enough to have danced and learned flamenco at Umaine in 1990 under Teresa's guidance and faith in me. She was amazing and inspired me. Later on in life I taught dance and took more lessons and became a dual language teacher of children. I was blessed to have her touch my life and believe in me.

Loved her group's performances @ Jazz Fest. I got hooked on flamenco years ago after traveling to Spain and Teresa's showcase was an event I always cherished.
