Thelma A. Elkins

Sad to hear that Thelma has passed; my heart goes out to Wendy & Mandy let your fond memories of you Mom stay with you forever. I have endless memories of years spent at the Elkins home; James, Wayne, Wendy the 3 of us having a lot of fun together and many times getting into a lot of trouble. Thelma making some awesome food...loved her taters the best! I always wanted to snap my gum like her...but she never would teach me she said it was an awful habit that she wished she never started....

So many memories, such a special neighbor, Thelma's warm smile and contagious laugh will always be in our hearts. Thoughts and prayers to her family.

Thelma was my "other mother" we lived around the corner and she looked after us when we were young. She loved kids and dogs. Her smile was infectious her laugh contagious. Thelma and I were pregnant at the same time, me a teen and her much older! We delivered a month apart. She tended my son as she tended her daughter as I went back to school to graduate. She gave me that gift and I will always be grateful. Thank you for that Thelma! She was one happy soul and she will be missed.

Fond memories of "Mandy Babysitter" and "Grandma Thelma" 25 years ago when they were part of my daughter's life. I would attend the visitation/funeral if I could. My condolences to Mandy and her family.
