Not sure what to say?

I worked for Tom in the early 90's. We did not see eye to eye on some political and social things but he was the most honest and forthright person I have ever had dealings with. I have tried to be like him ever since.

My heart goes out to Ann, another great soul. We all lost a good man here.

Even though I've never met Tom since I only know Anne a year ago, during my husband's campaign trail as US Congressional Candidate, at Diablo Lincoln dinner and Danville Farmers Market, we subsequently heard about Tom & Anne's marriage and remarkable life together for more than 60 years, ... We love Anne and make sure not to miss the memorial service on May 30 at Graham Hitch Mortuary Chapel in Pleasanton. The experience was absolutely beautiful. Our condolences and warmest regards to...

As we are unable to attend today, we are thinking and praying for you and your family in this time of grief. Although we never met Mr. Blake, it is clear to see he was an inspiration to your family and left a lasting legacy behind. We are thankful that we may finally meet him in the only place he could truly live and be free, with our Father in heaven. May God grant you the peace. rest. and grace to get through this knowing that he wouldn't want to be anywhere else! We send all our love...

I will be thinking of all your family on May 30, wishing the distance weren't so great. I wish I had had more opportunities for conversations with your family patriarch, as he was brilliant, funny, and opinionated! Prayers for all of you as you celebrate his life.

Our family remembers Mr. Blake as being very generous. When my brother and sister needed braces in the 80's he paid their bills. Letting those of us in the church youth group stay in his cabin and traipse all over his property every summer was pretty generous too! When I think of Mr. Blake, I see and hear him laughing. He had a great laugh.

Dad and I - April 2015

My Dad was a man of endless skills and talents. He was an engineer, a chemist, an inventor, a scientist, a cook, a gardener, a businessman, an investor, an electrician, a plumber, a mechanic, a contractor, a photographer oh my goodness, he could do anything he put his mind to! He was a student of history, particularly the US Constitution and the American experiment in liberty. However, his favorite book of all time was the Bible. Dad was a true disciple of Jesus Christ. For the Christian,...
