Read MoreI was Judge Flannery's courtroom clerk for nine years and he was one of the kindest persons I've ever known. He was always considerate, thoughtful, and polite - and I really enjoyed working with him. During courtroom down-time, attorneys would chat with me and I was struck by the two descriptions of him that kept coming up. "Fair" and "a gentleman" were the way he was described by many. I will miss him.

I was in the Court Security Program with The U.S. Marshals Service in D.C. whereby I came to know Judge Flannery. He was always a very warm gentleman. He will be missed.
