Not sure what to say?

Just thought about Coach Hoetger today. I knew him when I was a student at Mumford High School and he was one of the best coaches we had. He will be remembered for being a gentle soul and always having a calm demeanor. May his soul continue to rest in peace.

He was a kindred spirit for a long time as we worked together as educators in Detroit.

Mr. Hoetger was an advocate and a champion for children. His spirit will live on in the halls of DSA. I am praying for the family and DSA family. Ms. Hunt, Colleague

It is so very hard to loose someone with a heart so big. I am proud to call Tom a colleague and a friend over many years. I am thankful for the good work we did in multicultural education. Memories of his smile and gentle, strong ways of doing what's best for kids will continue to inspire many. May you find comfort in knowing his impact was unique, deep and broad. Peace and comfort to you.

I was fortunate enough to be one of Mr. Hoetger's students at Western International High School. He was a passionate educator who pushed his students toward their full potential. He truly made a difference in countless lives and will be sincerely missed.

MR. H HAS THE BIG SMILE ON HIS FACE RIGHT NOW. I AM STILL AT A LOSS FOR WORDS. I HAD THE PLEASURE OF WORKING UNDER MR. H AT DSA AND DCP@NORTHWESTERN. HE WAS COOL, COLLECTED, AND CALM. HE COULD BRING PEACE TO A CHAOTIC SITUATION.

That is a perfect picture of him. I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Hoetger was very helpful in keeping me updated with what was going on at DSA.He was a very kind and calm person. He will TRULY be missed. Office of school nutrition staff.

Mr. Hoetger will certainly be deeply missed! I am glad that I had an opportunity to work with him.

Tom's DSA family is heartbroken at this loss. Tom worked so hard for kids in Detroit with passion, follow-through, and optimism. The building feels strange without him. My deepest sympathy to you.
