Thomas Jacob III

Mr. Thomas Nathaniel "Tom" Jacob, III, 67, husband of Charlene Bloxom Jacob and a resident of Gargatha, VA, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. Born on May 26, 1943 in Nassawadox, VA, he was the son of the late Dr. Thomas Nathaniel Jacob, Jr. and Flora Miller Jacob. He retired from the Bell-Atlantic Phone Company. Tom served his country in the United States Navy, which included service aboard the submarine, Skipjack. He greatly enjoyed gardening and wood carving. Other than his wife, survivors include two children, Scott Thomas Jacob and his wife Lisa of Pittsville, MD, and Juanita Miller "Millie" Jacob and her fiance Joshua Snyder of Newport News, VA; two sisters, Lila Jacob Nicolls and her husband Terry of Newport News, and Clara Jacob Kluis and her husband Gerry of Newark, DE; two grandchildren, Austin Thomas Jacob and Lucas Michael Jacob; and a niece and nephew, Beth Hinson and Will Nicolls, and their families. A memorial service will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Mr. Lowell Wallace officiating.
