I saw this notice weeks after Tom's passing but want you to know you are in my thoughts all the same.

DEAR FAMILY OF TOM JACOBY. I WONDER IF YOUR TOM IS THE ONE I WORKED WITH IN THE AKRON OHIO STATE EMPLOYMENT SERVICE WIN PROGRAM IN THE 1970'S OR THEREABOUTS. I FORGET HOW LONG WE WORKED TOGETHER. BUT THE TOM I KNEW WAS AN INTERESTING FELLOW. HE WORE A CAPE AND SHERLOCK HOLMES HAT, HAD A MUSTACHE AND BEARD. HE COULD HAVE BEEN FROM THE 1800S. IF THAT WAS YOUR TOM JACOBY THEN I KNEW HIM FOR A WHILE. IF NOT THE SAME ONE, THEN YOU STILL HAVE MY SYMPATHIES AND I APOLOGIZE FOR THE INTRUSION. ...

I was very lucky to meet Tom in 1984 and he got me started in my business career. Tom was simply one of the BEST ever: fun, friendly, caring, great story teller, tough, kind, and smart...an unusual combination that made everybody like him! Tom was always happiest when he talked about his family...Marlene his soul mate and best friend and all of the grand kids. We will miss Tom and keep him safe in our memories forever.

I miss you so much already poppy, thank you for everything you shared with me and taught me. You were such an amazing, optimistic person, and hopefully I'll be able to carry your positivity with me in all that I do. Rest in peace. I love you.

Tom and I were great friends in our early business years. We took the CPA review course together in Miamisburg, Ohio. He was a great guy and will be missed by all. We offer our sympathies and prayers to Marlene and Tom's family. You will all be in our prayers.

Fond memories of Jake, from OSU and SAE. He was loved even then, a real rock of dependability and character. I have had no contact since early 1960s, but I know he made this a better world for his being here. Condolences to his family.
