My sincere sympathies to Tom"s family. We grew up together on Lincoln Ave. Tom was older than me so I looked up to him. He was a terrific buddy and helped me growing up. He called me a couple of months ago and we were going to get together when he came to California this winter to visit his son. He spoke highly of all his children, he was so proud of them. Sincere sympathy to Tom's family. He was a friend from way back from Lemington and Lincoln. My husband Charlie and I bought a car from him because he was from "the Avenue." He treated us well. Always spoke so proudly of his family; they meant a great deal to him. May he rest in peace.

It's ironic to share a story about Tom since Tom was always the one sharing the stories...whether his audience was interested or not! In all seriousness, the sweetest memory I have of Tom is when I was living in West Virginia right out of college. Tom was driving through my town one night and called me to ask me out to dinner.
