Not sure what to say?

I was priveldged to work with Tom as a member of the ARC Board of Directors. He was a passionate man who believed in the rights of people with dissabilities. He will be missed..

I have known Tom from his days at Woodlawn High School, where he was recognized as a very capable young man who demonstrated strong leadership. We extend our condolences to his family and pray that they will find spiritual strength during these days.

Tom and I have been friends since 1973, when we were first year law students. Our paths crossed many times during the past 32 years and I always had the utmost respect for him. His untimely death certainly came as a shock to me. My thoughts and prayers are with Ina and the family. May God bless you.

Dean Leonard was always a reserved gentleman who was dedicated to his profession. I fondly remember teasing him about my goal of graduating from the Birmingham School of Law without wearing glasses. His classic remark was: "I always say that the smartest students graduate wearing glasses."
